Are you ready for another outrage?
This photograph of boxes stored somewhere in Mar a Lago, Trump’s resort/club/home in Palm Beach, Florida, appears to show a photocopier across from the wall o’boxes piled atop some kind of plywood pad. Because plywood is often used to raise whatever is placed on it above a possibly damp floor, the room is doubtlessly a basement storage room.
There is a real possibility that at least some of the boxes shown in the photo contain classified documents. As the indictment pointed out, one of the storage rooms in Mar a Lago where the documents were kept was accessible from three separate public areas of the club. Anyone who was admitted through the gates of Mar a Lago — club members, their guests, Trump family members, their guests, full-time employees of the club, temporary contractors such as event planners and their workers, or teams of caterers for weddings and other events frequently put on at the club…
In short a long list of anyones could have had access to this room, and while there, could have used the copier shown in the photo to copy documents which they could have concealed on their persons or in purses or even inside boxes of equipment brought into the club by event planners or caterers, and removed them from the premises.
Desperate and hapless Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy told reporters the other day that it was okay for Trump to store his boxes of classified documents in one of the bathrooms at Mar a Lago, because “at least bathrooms have locks,” presumably unlike Joe Biden’s garage. (Whatever.) One of the reporters interviewing McCarthy should have reminded him that bathrooms can be locked, all right: from the inside. I didn’t see anyone in the bathroom photo in there with the boxes keeping them safe by having locked himself or herself in with them.
The copier in the photograph was not mentioned in the Trump indictment. This whole thing is going to get curiouser and curiouser as we go.

Look at the photo of classified documents on the floor of Trump’s Mar-a-Lardo office. Some are copies. They have a white border beyond the classification color frame. Original classified cover sheets have color frames that “bleed” off the page. So where are the originals? In Putin’s desk? In MBS’s desk? In Ivanka’s coffin? In Tucker Carlson’s safe?
