It’s weird to think of him as a cynic, isn’t it?  The man is so ignorant, so lacking in curiosity, so devoid of anything resembling an idea about anything other than himself, how could such an empty vessel contain the skepticism and distrust of the motives of others and lack of faith in their goodness that you need to be a real cynic?  Maybe he’s a pess…
