Regarding Elon Musk, MSNBC has already used the chyron “The Musk Administration.” EVERYONE should use that to describe the new administration. It will drive Trump absolutely crazy with jealousy and possibly lead him to throw Musk out with the bath water. I can’t wait.

The only way to bring Musk down is to destroy his money. If that is not done he will continue on to influence elections around the world like he is now trying to do in England and Germany. Of course he supports the illiberal parties.

It's his father's money, to be precise.

There is a great deal of accurate data-analysis insight here. Thank you Charles.

Spread the word, folks!

However, the orange traitor must be held responsible for bringing musk in to begin with. Spread that word, too!

We know Bannon, et al, were Trump's brains first time out...what's the fuss here?

Excellent idea. It may happen on its own--Trump doesn't like losing the limelight, but it certainly would help to give it a push.

How long it will take before Trump realizes that he is nothing but a figurehead and that Apartheid Boy will rule in his name? What will happen when farmers and victims of natural disasters realize that Musk and Trump just screwed them? I fervently hope that Musk is riding for a fall.

Blue Sky is retweeting videos of people calling Trump Musk's "Chief of Staff" and "Vice President." Better than the Lincoln Project.

Vance, meanwhile, has simply disappeared. Is he dead? No one cares enough to ask.

Shit-show here we come! Mattie is having a meltdown. He’s scared shitless and his daddy can’t help him this time. Then there’s Elonia putting his/her/their two cents (sense?) in of which he knows nothing about. Oh yeah baby, let the show begin!

Don't really dig on the feminization of Mush's name. It is saying he's less because he's demeaned as female. Marlene.

Respectfully, drop that misogynistic bias.

No Doc, I will not, with all due respect to you. Just not towards him and it is a dig at Melania, no one else. If you noticed, I referred to Musk in gender appropriate pronouns which is also a dig at him not acknowledging his transgender daughter’s right to be who she is.

Agree, Doc. That's why my long name for him—when not Muck—is the first laddie. Stays out of the next first lady's way—easy since Melaria is so rarely where the first laddie so often is, at the big liar's side. Public domain.

The saving grace in all of this shit pile will be the inevitable infighting to come. Can’t wait to see them tear each other apart. Only devastated that they will leave dear anus face leader alone no matter how much they hate the guy. All of them have been chicken shit since he showed up and could have rid themselves of him multiple times over - idiots.

Expand full comment

Politicians may leave him alone but it would only take one of those gun-owning maga who have praised him and voted for him and who may just be a little too pissed off and desperate when he/she can't feed their family and have just lost the house they have lived in for years to be his demise. That kind of scenario is not impossible, especially when you have promised the world and lied.

How/why is Elon controlling Congress? Every time over the last four years the debt ceiling rears its ugly snout Trump has been there gleefully cheering for a shut down. Chaos, pain, dark times, all the stuff he lives for, while ensconced safely in Mar-a-Lago he and his billionaire buddies shimmy away. It's what we can always expect from Herr Fuhrer, but who elected Elon to start barking out orders, is the guy even or citizen?

"Hell is empty and all the devils are here." (Shakespeare, "The Tempest"). Another fave quotation that never seems to age.

Ah yes! Doctor Faustus! Mephistopheles. I quite like the 1966 or 1967 film treatment with Richard Burton, even tho' it was a critical and commercial flop I think.

But on further reflection, I think it's possible Milton wins this round with "Which way I fly is hell; myself am hell."

With trmp and musk bellowing like two moose in the woods stomping around and scaring the bunnies over keeping the lights on, it will be fun to see what if anything the MattSexFiles prompts them to do next. He hasn’t even been sworn in and I am already sick of him. I hope the MattSexFiles includes a time when his good friend Don showed up to party. Marjo will be apoplectic.

Sporkfoot Marj is too stupid to know about being careful what you wish for. Yeah, let's release all the investigations. Republicans seem to be freakier in their sexual peccadilloes than everyone else. Remember the Zieglers and their threesome? Falwell's wife and the pool boy while he watched?

The interesting thing about DT and Musk wanting the debt ceiling raised on Biden's watch is that they know it needs to be raised. But with it happening under Biden, they can both profit from not having to do it themselves *and* blaming him for something they can say is/was bad but that they actually wanted.

Why am l not laughing?

Because while the shenanigans are predictable, they’re not funny. What would be funny is that we all lived “happily ever after!”

Laughter is an indication of tension, according to my visiting professor from Edinborough University, John McLeish.

Tense? Yes! Surprised? Hardly!

My response is to keep active and alert. This l learned from Al Engleman, my professor who was born in a DP Camp, after the Holocaust. “You must be incredibly aware!”

That was a LONG time ago, and they divorced at least 20 years ago. I think she turned out to be what he thought she was. Boy, did she!
