Tracy and I were sitting on the couch last night just after the clock struck midnight marveling that we had been married for five years and together for a total of eleven.
Lucian. For such a life with so many varied experiences, you come up with incredible poetry in your writing. Your way with sentiment is beyond lovely. Happy Anniversary to two amazing people. ❤️❤️

Best wishes on this important anniversary! I have been reading about the Anthony Bourdain film and remembrances and truly am tired of the chaotic accounts of sex/drugs/rock n' roll, and I am 73 and have read a lot. I was not a Bourdain fan- only saw his show once when I had TV, and disliked the swagger and brandishing of his alcoholic glass, knowing that he had been addicted before. (He was a local to me, living in Boston). I don't consider that kind of living as "really living," at any age. Have never "enjoyed" chaos (grew up with it) and worked most of my life setting it at bay. "Get thee behind me, Chaos!" or something. Not a prude or religious or any such- just don't see the value in chaotic living (or the vicarious thrill of it). And I thought "Less Than Zero" was pure 1980s trash in writing by Bret Easton Ellis. I think al of that the vicarious thrill and admiration) stems from repression, not admirable.
Mazel tov on beautiful routines well enjoyed. There is a comfort in them and each other and the in- and outdoor family. Good health to you all for more days like described minus ones with power outages tho even those are managed routinely.
