MAGA maniacs are hitting Republican leaders where it hurts: in the wallet

Watching the rats jump off the ship is more fun than anyone should be permitted to have.

The reason you're starting to see some knee-level wind among the likes of McConnell and McCarthy is that they realize the longer they stay out of power, the less money will come their way from corporate America.

You've got to get your party in charge of the Pentagon, for example, in order that big defense contractors send you money hoping to get contracts for jets and aircraft carriers and tanks and ammunition. If McConnell and the Republicans can't get their people into committee chairmanships that oversee the budget for the Pentagon, they can't hand out the goodies of contracts. And if they can't deal out contracts, there aren't going to be stuffed stockings at Christmas for all of their big leadership PACs, and the coffers of their own campaigns will be empty or close to it.

Trump the bumbling dictator has mad the biggest mistake of all. He's not taking care of his people. The Trump political brand is finished. Everything he touched turned to shit, and they can't even use Trumpian shit for compost.

We're in the final days not because the inauguration is just around the corner, but because the SS Trump is going down and the proverbial rats are jumping into the oil slicked waters around them.

Watching them jump is more fun than I should be permitted to have at my age, but fuck it: I'm celebrating.
