Some friends recently received a long email from someone they used to know and hadn’t heard from in awhile.  It appeared to my friends that their acquaintance had changed from the person they had known previously into someone they could hardly recognize.  I suspect this may be happening to others, as people we wouldn’t expect begin falling into hallucinogenic belief structures that bear little if any relation to what we might consider to be the real world around us.

The world around these people, including my friends’ acquaintance, is dark and full of threats to their health and rights as citizens.  They feel surrounded by people and ideas they do not understand.  They have come to feel that they are living in a country they no longer recognize.

Interestingly, there is someone they do recognize, with whom they feel comfortable, and whose views comport with theirs:  Donald Trump.

It’s worth spending a moment with one of these people, because the world they live in is our world too, and they may be visiting your inbox next.

They are afraid.  Here is some of what my friends’ acquaintance wrote about the world they know and how they feel about it:   

In recent times, I have been extremely concerned about my civil rights being eroded away. Because of this, I have done massive amounts of research on Covid-19, vaccinations, Bill Gates, Fauci, and the various politicians’ policies on all of this.

I have discovered some very unpleasant truths, including but not limited to major corruption with the CDC, WHO, and most of our politicians.  I have also learned about Agenda 21 and Agenda 30 that have clear strategies for the "Great Reset".

I have learned about the major influence the Chinese Communist Party has on the WHO and on many of our politicians, including Joe Biden.  I never trusted the Black Lives Matter Movement, Antifa and the Defund the Police Movements. These are all George Soros financed groups to help to destabilize our country. And the Woke and Cancel Culture, again, are all brainwashing tools to divide us, take away our Constitutional Rights and to destabilize our country.

I watched in horror as the election was so obviously stolen, with massive amounts of proof and our judicial system which is either totally corrupt, or is afraid of the cabal, has totally let the steal happen! Then to top it off, many Democrats are now saying they want "reeducation camps" for Trump followers! Conservative voices are being censored everywhere, and then when we go to another platform that has free speech (Parler), Apple and Amazon refuse to carry their ap and threaten anyone who will! It's really frightening that this is even happening much less that it meets the approval of many Democrats! What has this country come to? Do you realize that a young man was just sent to jail for posting Conservative memes? 

Then there's the "Insurrection" that happened on January 6th. Again the MSM and Democrats and many RINOs all lied about that. Trump was still speaking when that happened. Anyone who knows Trump Supporters knows that they will not run off before Trump is finished with his speech. Trump said "Let's march to the capitol peacefully." MSM always leaves off the peacefully. It is known that Antifa broke in, there's video of policeman welcoming them in, and some Trumpers stupidly followed them in, many of them over 65 years old without weapons. So, Antifa (which Biden says is just an idea) looted and burned and destroyed many cities all summer long at their peaceful protests, with no consequences. The stupid people that went into the capitol could face decades in prison!

I have uncovered massive amounts of information that makes me very fearful of our country's future for our kids and grandchildren. Because of that, I have wanted to share this information with friends by sending out videos to them. 

I am extremely bothered by the state of the world, but I feel totally alienated from all of my friends because they won't even talk to me about these extremely important to all of us topics. I believe we all really need each other now, I believe that the enemy is the elite who want to create this Great Global Reset and our division is exactly what they want.”

The message my friends received included a link to a video called “Communist Subversion:  A Plan for Total World Wide Control.”  The sender introduced the video as “an excellent resource for how our freedoms have been quietly under attack for a long time (not so quietly now).  You have to ask yourself, would I rather stay asleep or be uncomfortably awake.  If you choose awake, here is the video.”

I didn’t open the video because I am wary of various hacks that can be concealed within.  I’m not including the URL for the same reason.

I’m sure I don’t have to point to the obvious right-wing paraphernalia being shopped here.  But it’s interesting that the anti-woke crowd appears to have recently begun to urge their followers to be “uncomfortably awake,” I guess in order that they remain on guard against all the threats they face from George Soros and the rest of us.

I really don’t know what you can do about either the delusions or the people who cling to them.  For example, if you were to respond to such a frantic, discombobulated, paranoid entreaty by countering obvious disinformation and lies such as Trump exhorting his followers to go “peacefully” to the Capitol with a video clip of his speech showing he said no such thing, I’m sure you would be accused of doctoring the video.  If you were to provide a timeline of the events of 1/6 showing that the assault on the Capitol took place well after the end of Trump’s speech, I’m sure you would be told it’s fake because it came from the “deep state” or the “MSM.”  If you were to point out that the “young man” wasn’t arrested for sending “conservative memes,” but rather for committing voter fraud by telling people (mainly minorities) they could cast a vote for Hillary Clinton by texting a fake code to a fake phone account he had set up, it’s certain that you would be accused of trying to censor the speech of conservatives.  You’re damned if you do, and damned if you don’t, no matter how you respond to this world where black is white and up is down, and your friends are rendered unrecognizable.

Dealing with people like the sender of this email would be like trying to convince believers in Scientology that they are being fed a load of mumbo-jumbo in order to relieve them of their wallets and every other dime they ever accumulated in their pathetic, lost, little lives.  I think we all know how well that would go.

So they’re out there, this new galaxy of true believers whose compasses point in only one direction, the true north of Donald Trump.  I would say, “God help us,” but I’m not sure even He or She is up to this task.
