New developments in Mar a Lago search saga

Before we get into the most recent twists and turns in the story, we should address the fiction first floated in an NBC News story at the beginning of the week.  Under the banner headline, “It worried people all the time:  How Trump’s handling of secret documents led to the Mar a Lago search,” NBC opened the mic to several “sources” who told the network essentially that it was the constant chaos of the Trump White House that caused all those boxes of top-secret documents to mysteriously find their way to Mar a Lago.

Trump’s problem, they said, was that after four years of being president and nearly three frantic months of trying to overturn the election he lost, Trump “had barely packed and had to move out quickly.  West Wing aides and government movers frantically tossed documents and other items into banker boxes that were shipped to a storage room at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida along with other, previously packed records set aside by Trump, sometimes erratically so, according to two sources with knowledge of Trump’s move and records issues.”

Oh, my goodness!  Donald Trump is just like you and me when the time comes to move!  There’s stuff all over the place, and you’re throwing it in unmarked boxes that the movers just pick up and toss in the back of the truck, and it isn’t until you get to where you’re going that you discover all the junk you ended up keeping!

This is such transparent gibberish, it shouldn’t even merit commenting on, but there’s more.
