I think Roger Stone and Donald Trump are two of the biggest ratfuckers that have ever existed-and if either one (or both, preferably) cease to exist, this country would be far better off.

Because they're the scummiest, bloodsucking slime to ever hit the political arena. They were made for each other, and if either of them ever do get convicted (yes, Roger, you can be tried for something again, too..) I hope they're both put in the same cell with one another and it's wired for sound.

I want to hear them making up lies to one another. It'd be a hit movie.

From todays post:

“Well, you’re a bullshit artist, not a liar,” Gaetz replied.

“Correct,” Stone said. “There’s a big difference.”

I must be missing something . . . . What exactly is the difference between a bullshit artist and a liar??

This all started with Nixon. Once we stood around with our thumb up our ass and didn’t raise holy hell when he was pardoned, all this was inevitable. A straight line runs from Nixon to Iran Contra to Waco to Iraq to the Bundy ranch to Trump to January 6. DOJ needs to up their game and now.

The extent to which this current version of the Mafia has taken over government is breathtaking. I will include the Mafia members of the Stench Bench in this cabal.

There are signs that cosmic payback is on the way. Stone and Gaetz are attracting far too much attention. Guys like them are unable to observe boundaries and rein in their behavior. In real life mobsters and their political counterparts, that can prove fatal.

“Ratfuckers for Nixon “ - it has a certain Faustian ring to it. Opera perhaps!?

As far as I know you can’t get prison time for who you’re photographed with. I certainly hope all 3 get nice long sentences for everything else they’ve done.

I looked the other day because I’d been wondering and Greenberg is finally to be sentenced in December. I assume the chips will be falling heavily on many others soon afterward including Gaetz. I don’t have any particular understanding of the process. Maybe others here do.

Merry Christmas to all in any case.

Pardons and sentence commutations do not erase their guilt. They also do not give them immunity for new crimes committed. I sincerely hope the DOJ and FBI are keeping close tabs on these assholes.

I’d like to see Stone, Gaetz and the rest of that sordid gang—along with their leader, tRump—meet the fate of the convicted Nazis after the Nuremberg trials: found guilty of treason, and one after the other marched promptly to the gallows and hanged. Preferably, this should be the form of hanging that doesn’t kill the prisoner instantly by breaking his neck, but the slower kind, where they dangle and struggle for as long as half an hour…. Alas, this will never be more than a fantasy, because none of them will ever get the death penalty their treason so richly deserves.

The mention of GOP operative Lee Atwater made me think of his love of blues and his occasional covers of blues classics. This led my friend Marshall Chapman to co-write a song, "The Man Who Would Be B.B. King": https://www.goupstate.com/story/news/1989/07/29/man-who-would-be/29515164007/

And once again Lee Attwater's name surfaces. The havoc and horror that man started will live into perpetuity.

Lucien, instead of spending time on abysmal people like Gaetz and Stone, I wish you would turn your attention to the Republican defeat of the PACT Act and the resulting proud fist bumping. As a West Point graduate and veteran I would relish hearing your opinions. I think this disgraceful defeat illustrates the real rot in this country. Gaetz and Stone et al are just the symptoms.
