My fiancée, the artist Tracy Harris, took this photo of me on a path just off Gerard Point. That’s Louse Point in the background, and beyond that, Gardiners Bay. That I’ve ended up living in this watery wonderland often leaves me gasping in amazement.
The sun shining on a perfect June day, the bluefish running, the cormorants diving on bunker, the wind rippling the surface of the harbor, our dog Ruby running like the wind.
Life is good.
As somebody who stumbled into happiness late, having tried everything else first, I’d urge you to enjoy it; beats the alternatives all to hell and doesn’t hold up well to analysis. Never question a blessing!
You and Tracy must have done something awfully good in a former life. You are getting your good karma now and even saving some for later. It wonderful to "know" you guys here and on FB. xxx
