Time to be patient and not assume anything. As yogi Berra said “ it ain’t over until it’s over”

If it wasn’t Berra, someone said, “It ain’t over until the fat lady sings.” I just wish it was over.

You guys know how to celebrate! 🥂

Thanks for the recipe! Mushrooms and Larb are two of my favorites. And the news re DJT is even better. I may be able to sleep soundly sooner than I thought. Next, of course: indict, convict, imprison. Can't come soon enough for me or for the health of our democracy. This man should never have been within miles of the People's House - may we finally receive justice, though healing may be a much longer ordeal.

He should have been in the Big House long before he became president for his activities as a bully business man and sexual predator.

“Tell it Like it Is”

Revenge is a dish best served cold, but tonight we make an exception!

call me oppositional but I've never quite accepted that whole thing about revenge being best when it's served cold. I know it's counterintuitive, but sometimes counterintuitive stuff is also just plain WRONG.

call me a sucker for immediate gratification (and god knows, in my case it's a well-established fact), but I think revenge is best when it's , at very least, nice and warm. in this particular case, however, it's cold or nothing and I'll happily take it cold.

I'm also worried about the results of any and all jury trials of TFF. it feels like it wouldn't take a whole lot for those career criminals to make sure they have one foul ball, lying juror in every trial, which is all they'd need.

still in all, this SC has certainly exceeded all predictions and expectations. so maybe, just maybe, some of the guilty will be held to account.

Hot and cold can both work, but what matters most is what you wash it down with, and what you have for dessert.

Looks delicious! I'm going to try that recipe.

You can have the leftovers tomorrow with a glass of bubbly to accompany the indictment

I'm just wondering if I should buy a lobster before trial or after the indictments are handed down. I'm thinking that the indictment will be the sooner of the two, the trial(s) will be at least 6 months to a year in the making, and right now there's a bit of confusion about where the trial will be held-either in Washington or Miami.

However, I'm really very concerned about the trial being held in Miami, because Florida went for Trump last time, and there's just enough people who voted for him who could throw the whole thing out the window.

I've heard that Miami is pretty blue, but still in a state of Magats, I'm still pretty concerned that the Orange Man won't ever face true consequences of his actions.

In Washington, there's more than a few people who'd love to see him put in Florence and the key thrown away. Oh, and I read this evening that Steve Bannon has been subpoenaed to testify for the Grand Jury as well, and I'm thinking he'd better do it this time, because Jack Smith looks like a mean man who doesn't take "No" for an answer.

That Mark Meadows has testified, is pretty remarkable if only for the fact that he reportedly got limited immunity for doing so. I can see where the SC did that because Meadows can link Trump to so much of Jan 6 that I bet Trump is shaking in his itty bitty footies.

All in all, a very nice day, may it be followed by even more nice days, but you and Tracy take care to use your masks outside-the air down there is probably pretty awful.

And enjoy your Larb. Never heard of it before, thought it was a misspelled "lamb."

I like how you think!

Now, just to figure out what beverages to drink.

I'm thinking Pommard/champagne for conviction. Lots of it.

Nice selection for conviction.

For conviction 2015 Le Reve Blanc de Blancs and for indictment a TBD French Chardonnay.

It just occurred to me that "the celebration dinner" at the Truscott manse is now a tradition. Wouldn't it be fun if a bunch of us dropped by for the Trump Just Entered a Federal Prison dinner? (For the drop-ins, not necessarily the hosts.)

It's been a tradition for quite a while. Tracy and I love to celebrate when various geese are cooked.

Gotta say that's a terrific tradition, worthy of people who are paying attention.
