It’s been quite a week. Two of my kids — 2nd Lt. Lucian V and Youngest Daughter Violet — arrived today at Newark Airport for the holidays. After a slight mix-up about who was arriving at which terminal (thank you, United website) we braved 19 degree weather to reach the car and an hour and ten minutes later were safely in Milford and ready for a long afternoon’s nap!
If anything happens news-wise in this stricken country of ours, I’ll be on the case and let you know. Tonight, red beans and rice is on the menu, and for the next day or so, Tracy and I and the kids are going to burrow beneath heated blankets and throws and make lots of tea with honey and only venture out into our frigid Pennsylvania winter wonderland when absolutely necessary, until the temp comes up a little, anyway.
Danger lurks amidst the holiday joy out there, but this is our country and our holiday, and nobody is going to take either from us if we have anything to say about it.
Happy celebrations to you and yours!
Have a lovely holiday with your sweet family, Lucian. In our house it’s Chrismanukkah!
Great looking tree. Tazzy is undoubtedly plotting a climbing strategy.😂 Have a wonderful Holidays. (Stay warm!🥶😄)
