the idea of a competition show for american citizenship made me throw up in my mouth a bit.

Christina Johnson's avatar

A full vomit happened here. After I thought there might be a punchline, the realization that this was a legitimate thought of Donnie Darko’s playmates was too much for my already roiling insides. Stephen Miller is the even darker side. Dante Alighieri never even thought of a circle in hell low enough for him.

bitchybitchybitchy's avatar

Stephen Miller is an appalling excuse for a human being.

Even the idea of a reality competition to become a citizen is obscene.

BTW, how do we know that Steohen Miller isn't a horrible AI creation?

Vickie Berry's avatar

Yes, the reality show for immigrants is beyond cruel and disgusting. What a way to further dehumanize the immigrants. 🤬🥲

The proposed show is somehow connected to those who did The Duck Dynasty show.

T L Mills's avatar

And for a department spokesperson to claim that it will "renew civic pride (or something) and remind everyone what it means to be an American"---JHFC! The depths of stupidity and willful ignorance of these MAGAts is utterly astounding. This disgusting proposition fills me with despair for this country. Even if we get rid of 47, we will still have to deal with Noem, Hegseth, et.al. I'm getting a headache just thinking about it.

Janice D Stearns's avatar

You mean they are SERIOUS about this so-called show??? Mark Burnett, no doubt, to produce!

Patris's avatar

NBC has so much to apologize for.

bitchybitchybitchy's avatar

Burnett ought to be wearing sackcloth and ashes for eternity

Patris's avatar

Andrea Mitchell too.

Bill Smith's avatar

He might be an AS creation: artificial stupidity. Probably much easier to market than AI anyhow.

bitchybitchybitchy's avatar

For all we know Thiel, Musk and others have an infernal laboratory in Silicon Valley at which he they are experimenting with creating humanoid creatures and Miller is a Beta example-badly flawed.

Grace Kennedy's avatar

He’s Roy Cohn’s spawn.

Pat Goudey OBrien's avatar

Does anybody else get that uneasy feeling they call “The Uncanny Valley” when they look at Stephen Miller? He does seem contrived and not-quite-right, in every way possible.

Barbara Laman's avatar

Yes. Uncanny. As if Rod Serling were about to reveal some unreal twilight creatures.

bitchybitchybitchy's avatar

We could go down a rabbit hole creating Twilight Zone intros for this crew

MARYLYN LAMSTEIN's avatar

A Nazi psychopath. No wonder his own family disowned him years ago. He would have been a top general in Hitler’s inner circle. Now he’s a top general in a moron’s inner circle, Heaven help

Our children and their children. What will become of our country? Is there no one to stop this insanity?

Jan Lindemann's avatar

This from an NBC report:

"Outside of President Donald Trump, no White House official has accumulated more influence in this administration than Stephen Miller, the 39-year-old anti-immigration crusader whose brain and bare-knuckled tactics have been deployed to drive the agenda for the commander in chief. Not Vice President JD Vance. Not chief of staff Susie Wiles. Not anyone else."

Miller is an evil creature. Trump listens to him because Miller feeds his ego.

bluerainbow18's avatar

And because Dump is evil too.

Bill Corbett's avatar

Your observation is absolutely correct. I have known ever since his first stint in the WH that he was one rotten evil SOB. Trump is too stupid to come up with all these ideas, but Miller, it's right up his alley. There are more rotten people behind Trump that meets the eye, and I hope eventually we come to grips with who all of them are.

LaurieOregon's avatar

To get a position in the Trump regime, a person must be corrupt, cruel, and/or contemptuous of the Constitution and the American public. The person must look good on television. Women must have big breasts. Applicants must look like someone Trump would want to have sex with.

Let's not dwell on this horror show. Instead plan to show up on June 14 at a NO KINGS! protest near you! Or make your own protest. Info at www.nokings.org.

DS's avatar

I agree! NO KINGS! I’m planning on attending a protest that day.

Karen RN's avatar

We are having one in Hood River, OR. I have been attending them in Vancouver, WA and Portland. Happy to have one in my home town

Janice D Stearns's avatar

Some friends recently crossed the border and were treated like criminals by the border patrol. Their car was searched with dogs and all the trappings of Nazi Germany!

Karen RN's avatar

I hit the like heart but I certainly don’t like what happened to your friends. It seems to be happening more and more. It is despicable.

Wundaboy's avatar

Do not underestimate Stephen Miller. He is Trump’s “brain” and is the influencer behind every one of Trump’s Executive Orders.

T L Mills's avatar

It's why I think Comey should have posted a photo of shells spelling out 86Miller and let the MAGAts scurry around, like ants from a destroyed anthill, in panic that it means "assassination" rather than to simply fire him. MAGAs really do live in an alternate universe.

mary-jo amatruda's avatar

The contest for citizenship has all the earmarks of a Roman gladiator show. Horrifying Please Lord, no

SPW's avatar

I keep thinking of The Hunger Games scenario.

Doris Corea's avatar

My favorite character is Katnis Everdean. I may have misspelled her name here.

mary-jo amatruda's avatar

To continue the Roman Gladiator games analogy: Will the orange man officiate with a thumb up or down? Or will he shortcut with a "you're fired". These poor immigrants, what else will we put them through?

tecolote42's avatar

In my fantasy life, Stephen Miller comes to my little town. And I put him to work with our public works crew. And I help my boss evaluate his performance. Then we send him on his merry way. That would be fun.

In reality, he lives (irony abounds) in a fantasy life. He bleats out crap and does not experience the repercussions of his words or actions. Such a person begs for consequences. For his sake and ours.

T L Mills's avatar

My fantasy is that he gets grabbed by a bunch of people in hoodies and masks--no identification, of course--taken to a holding cell and left to sweat it out for a while. Then loaded onto a bus with no opportunity to get a phone call or a lawyer. No due process Stevie...what goes around comes around--and taken to an airport, bundled into plane bound for...hmm, let's say Libya....their latest stupid "plan". Then taken to a prison and then whatever happens, happens. Again, Stevie...it's merely a sample of reaping what you sow.

Janice D Stearns's avatar

the other 'guys' would just love him!

Janice D Stearns's avatar

In a perfect world, he would be on a chain gang in Mississippit!!

Bill Smith's avatar

I know one thing for certain: that creepy little motherfucker is never getting behind me.

ROBERT EVANS's avatar

There is a humoras theory that the earth is the insane asylum of the universe. If that is true the Democrats are the psychiatric staff trying to keep the inmates in check but not doing a very good job of it :)

Carol-Ann Dearnaley's avatar

Oh? Really? Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, AOC, Ruben Gallego, Gov Pritzker, Chris Murphy, and Ro Khanna are not doing a very good job of it? I beg to differ. Unless, of course, you would rather be on Nurse Ratched's side

ROBERT EVANS's avatar

Haha, Loved that last bit, But what I said was meant to be tongue in cheek./ But as you say all the names you mention are very good, and are certainly doing an excellent job considering the Repubs have all the power. I just meant that the "inmates" are so completely out of control that it is almost impossible to control them, which is true. .

I'm afraid, Haba, you took me much too seriously and were unfairly curt with me. But then again, my dry British humor is not always understood in the way I intended it.. I should have rephrased what I said a little differently to show they have completely run amok and the only power to stop them is to vote them out of office.

Carol-Ann Dearnaley's avatar

My apologies. My curtness stems from my being so sick and effing tired of living through a tale told by an idiot.....sound and fury and all that and it is annihilating this country. Because the idiot - who, by the way would have no idea what I am referring to loves being an idiot and destroying lives. All for chump change and tin pot glory.

Again my apologies. 250 years ago, we fought your empire to a stand still. I believe at the surrender at Yorktown, the British forces drum and bugle corps played something called "The World Turned Upside Down."

250 years later, that's the world we're living in. We will prevail - only this time? It's taking the surrender from our own and there will be no band.

ROBERT EVANS's avatar

It's quite alright Carol-Ann, You expressed the situation so well above, and I fully understand your frustration, we all feel the same way. And again, our people are doing their very best to fight lies with truth, but in the twisted minds of these people they somehow think they are the patriots and we are not. .It is extremely frustrating to witness such stupidity and feel so helpless. They say mainstream media lies and they don't.. It's great what Bruce Springsteen said about Trump. Trump was furious, the truth hurts but of course he isn't aware it was the truth on a conscious level but subconsciously he was, that's why he was so mad./ It was like light shining on Dracula.

Janice D Stearns's avatar

He doesn't always get to hear such stuff with everyone stroking and preening his immense ego!

Wundaboy's avatar

Mr. Evan’s, you would love the anti-war movie King of Hearts(1966).

ROBERT EVANS's avatar

Great! Thanks, Wundaboy, Actually was about to look for a movie to watch. Archive.org has all the old movies and are ad free. Actually found it on Tubi https://tubitv.com/movies/100011005/king-of-hearts

Wundaboy's avatar

Not a spoiler, but the king of hearts represents a caring, loving, influential and emotionally intelligent man.

ROBERT EVANS's avatar

Very well expressed: (Tubi version has too many commercials, I'll look again on Archive.org

I’m thinking about some of your conjectures here. Do you want to move a million Gazans to Cairo? Don’t waste money on fine trains. Hell, empty cattle cars can hold hundreds if you cram ‘em in tight enough. And don’t waste space by giving them toilet facilities or food and water.

And as for who’ll handle them? Why not change the name of the National Guard to the Schutstaffel? Give them really cool ranking, like “oberfuhrer” and “oberunterfuhrer”? The truly elite Guards, like the J6 rioters, could be, say, “Waffen-SS”.

Think of the really cool black uniforms, black trench coats, and shiny black boots they’ll get to wear? Really cool…

GARY MOYER's avatar

My candidate for coolest title ever, heard while stationed in Bavaria: “Uberschoenstein Feigermeister”;

or something like that.

Reva Potter's avatar

Hang on, why would the Egyptians let Gazans on their territory? They have been part of the freeze on Gazans leaving, forever , and especially since 10/7/23

Gammyjill's avatar

Nothing in the “proposal” makes any sense.

Carol-Ann Dearnaley's avatar

You had to ask? Of course it's Stephen Miller! I hate to even think of him as a member of the human race. As the grandson of Holocaust survivors? What can I say? If I were Irish, I would say that he was switched at birth for a hobgoblin, one who would do the devil's bidding. But I'm not. What I do know is he is the kind of creature who makes one profoundly ashamed to be an American.

Yes, he is running everything! Every statement that has a noun, verb, and adjective in proper order was written by him. Every statement proclaiming some idiotic menacing fiat is his. He is willful and evil. He has scores to settle for the fact that his visage is repugnant, his demeanor is that of an underpaid servant worthy of a Dickens' novel - Uriah Heap comes to mind. The adjudicated rapist adores him! Why? Because he is repulsive. All the glory will still fall on the corpulent, fetid, sham of a human who, for some reason, known only to the powers that be that have forsaken us for the time being, occupies the White House. Because Miller is so repulsive. People recoil when his name is mentioned. He will never compete with the ogre. Unlike the Muskrat, he will never hog the spotlight (a mortal sin), he is Gollum with no redeeming features. So he gets to plant his poison, spew his venom, and do all he can to make the rest of us pay for his inadequacies and hatred.

He will fail. His stupidity is actually worse than his evil. Evil can be reasoned with and reformed. Stupidity? Not now, not ever. The man is the epitome of stupid.

Karen Simmons's avatar

Well said Carol-Ann! He slithers in the background, only emerging when it’s necessary. He is arguably the ugliest human on Fat Boy’s staff, which tells me he must be incredibly useful or he would be banished.

Tom Twain's avatar

No way Karen, don't forget Steven Cheung. Or DHS Nazi Barbie.

Carol-Ann Dearnaley's avatar

Those two are toads. The puppy killer is on thin ice. She is plum out of money and has put in an order for a new jet to carry her to her next cosplay appearance. She is still waiting for her closeup. She has no money in her budget. Listen to Sen Murphy explain to her how deep she is in the cow dung. He pointed out to her overspending the budget is actionable. As in illegal.

As for Steven Cheung. Who? Whenever he is quoted? It comes across like a yapping dog or a toddler begging for attention and making stupid statements to get that attention.

Carol-Ann Dearnaley's avatar

I thought so, but noooo - oddjob actually was well trained in what he excelled at - murder. No, this man is the size of a small mobile home and I don't think could even wear a bowler hat. I think the ogre keeps him around because he's someone the ogre can look down on.

Joe Todd's avatar

He uses his tongue as his bowler hat.

Zina Glazebrook's avatar

I finally, finally got it. It is all & only optics for dear leader.

He thinks he ‘s on T V ,playing President, & he hired his cabinet based on T V optics.

Is this the first administration that cares more about its optics than its ethics or soul?

longtimebirdwatcher's avatar

Yes, even moreso than Reagan and Nixon.

Vickie Berry's avatar

Thank you for this excellent report and analysis. You are greatly appreciated and needed.
