Look at Josh Marshall's post of a few hours ago. His lead photo is in front of the Westin Hotel, nearby on Los Robles, a couple of blocks above Colorado (Rt. 66) Blvd. in Pasadena. A very large number there today because ICE is neaby to fuck with workers. We RSVP'd to Indivisible a few days ago and this morning we got a message that 1.5 MILLION RSVP'd that they will be there on Colorado tomorrow. Way more than will show up, but a massive number that wants to BE THERE.

We are ready. Just waiting for the paint to dry. I hope there's room for us old geezers.

I picked up 24 hand-held flags at Michael’s today to pass out at Lake & Colorado Blvd in Pasadena tomorrow. I’ll look for you, Ransom. But I bet there will be so many there it will be nearly impossible.

I went to an Indivisible training on how to be safe and know your rights. If you have time tonight please look at the links in this piece.

https://lindaweide.substack.com/p/indivisible-training-recommendations?r=f0qfn

There were 20,000 people on the training call, and they told us there were 2000 actions planned in all 50 states. They said that there were 150 actions planned in 17 different countries. My normal crowd will be in Hamburg, Germany in front of the US Consulate building which was started when George Washington was president. I will be in my US city, the sister city to Hamburg, which is Chicago. Trump has promised to send troops to us too because thousands here have been marching all week to protest ICE to protest Chicago Cops who violated Illinois State law to help ICE, and in solidarity with the people of LA.

NO KINGS! NO TYRANTS! NO DICTATORS! NO FASCISTS!

In Solidarity! ✌🏽

These recommendations are essential if you want to demonstrate. Don't go if you don't have them internalized. Make sure of your exit options.

"Make sure of your exit options" is excellent advice, but the overwhelming majority of those who turn out for rallies and marches will not have read, never mind internalized, the recommendations -- and that's fine. Most demos of any size will have peacekeepers who've had at least some nonviolence and de-escalation training, and really large ones often have a couple of EMTs or paramedics around.

Watching the news this evening and seeing a citizen (a veteran, no less) on the ground being detained by Marines makes me mad as hell. SHAME on them, for allowing themselves to be used as police. That's following an unlawful order and a violation of the UCMJ, and is an inhumane thing to do. The officers who did not tell T**** to take his order of deployment to the streets of LA and shove it up his rather large anal orifice bring shame to the Corps. Tomorrow I'll be a marshal at the protest in Worcester; we'll be keeping it peaceful but loud

People should boycott the coverage of the military debacle tomorrow, and hope for the Rain Gods to do their thing. Apparently if there is lightning they will have to cancel or postpone the parade. Let us hope for thunder and lightning tomorrow in DC.

At West Point, when the cadets assembled in the sallie ports before the Saturday parade for the tourists, if there were clouds in the sky, the low chant would echo from the walls: "OOOOOOOOdin!"

May the clouds cry for the misuse of our soldiers.

Hugh, I was certainly hoping for the Rain Gods to put an end to the military parade. Instead it was the people who did not show up. Pathetic is what I would call it.

Now that we have all marched on Saturday, we need to be looking forward to our next actions. I recommend that one of those should be boycotting PayPal.

So well put Lucian, inspirational! We may not be able to stop the Mad King from playing with his toy solders in a make believe parade, or from disobeying court orders but the constant opposition will wear him down. As he complained this morning, "nothing is easy." Keep up the pressure. Tomorrow should be a great start.
