A scourge of INCELS
Conservative men can't get laid, so they are killing women. Not to worry! Conservative women have an answer!
The killing of seven women in Atlanta is just the latest. According to count last year by Lawfare, fifty people had been killed in so-called “incel” attacks by January of 2020. And then it happened again in Toronto. A 17 year old boy walked into a massage parlor just after noon one day in February and began slashing at women with a machete. A 24 year old woman, Ashley Noell Arzaga, died in an ambulance on the way to the hospital. The massage parlor’s owner lost a finger fighting the attacker over his weapon. Two more women were treated for wounds caused by the attacker. Prosecutors later announced that the killer would be charged with an act of terrorism because they had “determined that this crime was in fact one in which the accused was inspired by the … movement commonly known as INCEL (involuntary celibate).”
In May of 2020, it was Glendale, Arizona. Twenty year old Armando Hernandez, Jr. walked through a local mall carrying an AR-15 style assault rifle shooting at couples “close to his own age,” according to authorities. He shot a woman in the leg and a man in the chest, then he headed back out to the mall parking lot where he shot another woman and filmed it on his smartphone. He posted the shooting on Snapchat, where he was seen telling the woman she was lucky he was going to spare her. Hernandez posted another video before the attack describing himself as an “incel.” He told police an incel was “someone who cannot get attention or relationships from other people."
In 2018, a man by the name of Alek Minassian drove a rented van more than a mile down a street in Toronto, running red lights and plowing through crowds of pedestrians, killing 10. He was later charged with 10 counts of murder and 16 counts of attempted murder. Just before he launched the attack, he posted a message on his Facebook page reading, “Private (Recruit) Minassian Infantry 00010, wishing to speak to Sgt 4chan please. C23249161. The Incel Rebellion has already begun! We will overthrow all the Chads and Stacys! All hail the Supreme Gentleman Elliot Rodger!”
Minassian was a frequent visitor to incel groups on 4Chan, an internet message board frequently used by right-wing groups to communicate with each other. So called “incels” are men who believe they have been excluded from relationships with women because of their appearance or personalities. The “Stacys” and “Chads” referred to in the message posted by the Toronto killer are the straight men and women incels resent for being able to find sexual partners.
Elliot Roger was a 22 year old man who launched an attack in Santa Barbara, California, in 2014 killing six and injuring 14. He shot some victims with a Glock semiautomatic handgun, stabbed others, and ran over more before killing himself in the front seat of his car as police closed in on him. Before his killing spree, Roger posted a YouTube video of himself called “Elliot Roger’s Retribution.” In the video, he can be seen complaining, “For the last eight years of my life, ever since I hit puberty, I've been forced to endure an existence of loneliness, rejection and unfulfilled desires all because girls have never been attracted to me. Girls gave their affection, and sex and love to other men but never to me. I've had to rot in loneliness. It's not fair. You girls have never been attracted to me. I don't know why you girls aren't attracted to me, but I will punish you all for it. It's an injustice, a crime, because ... I don't know what you don't see in me. I'm the perfect guy and yet you throw yourselves at these obnoxious men instead of me, the supreme gentleman.”
It’s hard to believe, but these guys aren’t crazy. They think they have a legitimate gripe. They believe they are denied sex by women who are hostile to them. They are uniformly male and conservative in political beliefs. As they leave bodies in their wake, they aren’t making the conservative movement look good.
So, conservative women to the rescue! The problem is apparently serious enough that attention is being paid by right-wing female intellectuals at the conservative Claremont Institute in southern California. Its publication, The American Mind, recently published two essays by conservative women lamenting the problem conservative men seem to be having getting attention from women and giving some answers.
A presumably pseudonymous “Peachy Keenan” wrote about a Gallup poll that found, to her evident dismay, that 1 in 6 adults from so-called “Generation Z,” defined as 18 to 23, identified as LGBTQ. According to the poll, of that number, “72%…say they are bisexual.” The “problem” of bisexuality, according to the author, is “the tragic feminization of men. Maybe some of these girls really are just forced to date amongst themselves since so many of their male peers have forgotten what it actually means to be a man. Forget ‘straight’—‘man’ is the final boss trigger word. Manliness is distasteful and unfashionable. Is it any wonder women must take solace with each other?”
So we have conservative men who can’t get laid because their “manliness is distasteful and unfashionable.” They are not sufficiently “feminized.” But “feminizing” men can’t be the answer. We can’t have that! Men must be men!
But that raises a secondary problem: they can’t get laid because “women don’t want to date a Trump voter,” according to author Helen Roy, who wrote the second intellectual essay in The American Mind. “In calling themselves conservative, no one seeks them. So, what can be done?”
Well, she has an answer. “The men I’m talking to and about must turn their focus instead to the concrete aspects of life. Be builders. Build your body, your home, your garden, new networks, and business. Women will inhabit the spaces that men build.” Get away from the “crumbling walls” of the liberal-dominated culture. “Conservatives are the guys screaming at the crumbling walls,” she calls out to the troops. “Parasites are more appealing by comparison.” Whatever the hell that means.
So here we go with the solution from inside the proper precincts of the conservative Claremont Institute and its prize publication, The American Mind: “If you actually start building a local world with high standards and natural hierarchies that you don’t have to languish at the bottom of, you will strengthen yourself spiritually, socially, and physically. This is what women want.”
Bingo! Don’t worry, conservative men! Conservative women are out there doing your thinking for you, apparently trying to keep you away from your AR-15’s and any fantasies you may have of just getting out there and gunning down all those liberal women who won’t pay attention to you in bars.
It's a self-label and a self-fulfilling prophesy. Maybe moving out of your parents' basement would be a good start.
O.M.G. These people actually walk among us. Heaven help us.
