You can also link all of these people to the anti-vaxxer movement, which shares the same insanity and propaganda with them. Only difference is that the AV movement is led by Bobby Kennedy Jr, and other mediocrities posing as 'experts' for their side.

It would be amusing if if wasn't so deadly.

As in 900,00 people have died from the Covid-19 virus, and we're going to hit a million pretty soon-because we can't have enough sane people who can't stop being insane long enough to get vaccinated.

So we have a vast far right wing group of completely off the chart insane people who can vote. There aren't enough drugs in this country to cure them, and unfortunately their own misguided 'belief system' is killing them off.

Trump is not the only culprit of this, though-Rush Limbaugh, and others of his ilk are the seeds of the disaster that came Jan 6 and keeps on rolling.

I don't see an end to this, really, unless you call death the end.

Well, they ARE dying at "many" times the rate of sane, vaccinated people, but that rate isn't anywhere near fast enough to make any statistically significant dent in their numbers. The "good" thing about Covid, is that most people survive it. The BAD thing about Covid is that way too many anti-vaxxers either don't contract it or they survive it, thus perpetuating their anti-vaccine lies.

The most upsetting part about this article is how I read it without even a chuckle or a screenshot to my husband (who I normally share crazy /weird shit and the occasional zit popping video) because I’m not even phased anymore. 6 yrs ago, during simpler times, this would have blown us all away with its level-10 dumpster fire insanity. But now….it’s just a Tuesday in America.

Both endings gruesome; Romanov more thorough. Mussolini’s granddaughter is active in Italian right-wing politics.

wasn't one of Mussolini's kids a jazz guy?....for some reason, I remember he played piano, but I could be wrong about the instrument. I also--again, vaguely--remember reading an interview with him in which he sounded like a pretty ok guy. so fascists begetting only fascists isn't necessarily inevitable.

The Italians, when they turned on Mussolini, turned on him PERSONALLY; they spared his wife and six children, although they also killed his mistress, Clara Petacci, who was with him when the Partisans caught up with him. The Bolshies would have hunted down the entire family and killed them all, and we wouldn't have any Mussolini descendants still polluting the political waters in Italy.

It's no more or less inevitable than liberals begetting only liberals, and Stephen Miller disproves that hypothesis quite effectively.

No hypothesis involved--nobody's claiming it's inevitable, but it happens-- look at the adult t-rumpkins-- all worshiping their father and blindly following his ideology. Miller is a horrible exception-- a man of Jewish background who appears to believe fervently in an ideology not much different from that of the Nazis. I've read that his family has disowned him.

"We love the poorly educated." TFG

Our society is sick - at least, a sizable portion of it is. These people - conspiracy theorists, white supremacists, neo-Nazis, anti-vaxxers, gun humpers, fundie Christians, sovereign citizens, Holocaust deniers, and so many more - have always been with us. But they were mostly hidden from mainstream view. Now, anyone with a smartphone can find and meet up with other like-minded wackos. Indeed, this toxic mixture appears to make up a sizable portion of Trump's rabid base. 'murrica!

Aw crap, Lucian. Please don't be so surprised. There are two things going on here: 1. Protzman sounds like a paranoid schizophrenic and 2. Large numbers of people are very limited in their critical thinking and willingly believe all sorts of craziness, especially if it serves their own needs. So why not Protzman's? Umm, did you know that upwards of 50 % of adults think that their eyes emit rays that illuminate things? See: Winer, G. A., Cottrell, J. E., Gregg, V., Fournier, J. S., & Bica, L. A. (2002). Fundamentally misunderstanding visual perception: Adults' beliefs in visual emissions. American Psychologist, 57, 417-424. Damn son, how I wish I could shoot some rays to see what I'm doing when I'm doing it in my midnight bathroom! And while you're at it, check out the Mothman statue in Point Pleasant, West Virginia - and the Mothman Museum close by. A whole damn town is exploiting a bit of pseudoscientific garbage generated by a flying saucer nut who read a 1952 juvenile aviation thriller and decided to run with it. Yes, I own a copy of the book he swiped the mothman from. Point is that the degree of critical thinking necessary to call bullshit on the QAnon Qrazies is and always has been lacking in large numbers of people. And this is, as you pointed out, exploitable. Thanks for the good work!

It has flying criminals in nuclear-powered moth suits with big glowing red eyes so they can see to fly in the dark. They carry a mysterious powder which eats away any stone structure on which it is sprinkled, and they can flap fast enough to latch onto the wings of the Blue Falcon's private fighter jet and start sawing them off while he's in the air. They're a match for the reported "sightings" and that horrid stone-eating powder is a match for how the Mothman supposedly made the Silver Bridge collapse. Uh...they have an annual Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant. They should invite Protzman and Bigfoot to come by flying saucer.

h.o.o.o.o.ly shzt, LKTIV

until you made that declaration that you can't make this up i thought you WERE making it up.

where do these people come from? by the statistics, about every other or every third person around us is loonyshit crazy!

we're surrounded. this country is in trouble. we can only hope a good bunch of them are too loony to think of voting. or something.

now..i don't want to start a conspiracy, but i have this theory that there exists a need-to-believe gene that gives an adrenaline burst when that belief of whatever is fed. it is stronger and wilder in some people, leading them to follow wild propositions.

i believe i'll pour a strong one.
