One of the difficulties with writing political journalism is when the news is good – most especially when it’s all good. That’s the problem with writing about last night’s DNC: it wasn’t just good, it was great! Kamala made a surprise appearance and spoke on the first night, which made history because candidates have traditionally taken the stage only after they are nominated on the third night. The speakers were good; the order they spoke in was right-on; the speeches were smart and powerful; the visuals were terrific, all the young and non-white faces, the enthusiasm that came across as genuine and not politically canned, like crowds can be at some campaign events, especially for you-know-who.
I thought that Raskin calling the SCOTUS a kangaroo court in the context of Trump overturning this election was wrong since they have found against Trump in every case where he tried to steal the 2020 election.

He truly deserved all the praise last night, even if the Maga press wasn't able to stay up that late to watch.
Yes, Joe has been relentlessly trolled and denigrated by the classless jerkoffs on the right. Joe Biden did three huge favors to America in addition to his years of service in the senate and as the best VP in history. He came out of retirement after the Charlottesville hatefest of 2017, did an incredible job managing multiple crises as president, and then handed off his power to Kamala. He absolutely did his best for America. He more than deserves all the accolades.
