Gather your friends, take off your masks, scatter yourselves around the yard, and chow down on my delicious shrimp and rice noodle salad with coconut lime dressing.
Thank you for the delicious read and the recipe! My small circle of geezer gal pals are now all vaccinated and we will be having our FIRST in person (no more zoom) get-together Monday. It will be taco salad lunch (with whatever toppings one might choose), ice cream (with toppings) and Prosecco. We cannot wait!
i love shrimp and i love grits, but at a recent wedding reception, i was served grits with shrimp, which is prolly familiar to y'all, but seemed insane to me, until i tasted it. yumm! soon now i'm gonna try shrimp and peanut butter.
spring is so deceptive here in carolina. mama had a rule: no planting and no going barefoot until may 1. nowadays, tho, i have to smile at all the suburban gardeners rushing out to get their planting done, because, sure enough, the sunshine is not a welcome, only a dare. but i'll sure try your recipe, come rain or come shine. thanks.
Ahh my taste buds perked up at the thought of ginger coconut lime...gonna try it!
And my fond memories perked up thinking about clam digging with my family. Remembering my jolly round grandmother wailing like a bogged cow as she steadily sank into the soft sand, even more so as we youngsters around her joyfully tugged to try to free her.
I know it's not quite what you had in mind, but in your honor I just cracked open a cold beer and a tin of Patagonia mussels, and as soon as I find the damn crackers I'll be in a kind of Lucian Truscott-induced heaven here in the mountains of western North Carolina. Thanks, man!

Thanks, need to try it, but may be awhile, as Spring is usually later at the tip of Lake Superior!
June is usually pretty chilly, also, but if it is too hot, a good local response is ‘wait 5 minutes’ or ‘go dip a toe in the lake’
🤣

You da man Lucian. Tracy, you and Ruby sit back and enjoy! ♥️
We have been enjoying the patio for a few weeks being in DFW. Your salad recipe is just what we need to add a little zing to our outdoor dinner.
