Yesterday, Tracy and I got our second bivalent COVID booster, and I got vaccines for pneumonia and shingles. We’re both encouraged by the reports that the second booster, when taken six to eight months after the first, as we did, probably makes you completely immune until the next booster comes along in the fall. The booster knocked the wind out of us — we’ve been sore, headachey, and sleepy, but are feeling quite a bit better after 24 hours. Small price price to pay, considering.
I couldn’t deal with the debt ceiling crisis on a good day, so we’re taking the night off. More anon…
Shingles vaccine whomps my butt…both of them!
As you say, small price—I got shingles once.
Second bivalent this week before a trip to WV.
Keep getting the boosters and my wife and I still wear masks in crowded public places. Bonus I haven't had a cold or the flu in three years and I will be 81 in a month.
