I love this piece, Lucian. I live with a fine collection of Lucille Howard and Helen McCarthy landscapes so I think I understand what you mean about color. The color in my paintings are different from Jack Whitten’s, but the light that’s captured in them is a portal to long-ago moments in places I’ve never been.
