Employees are expected to pass a criminal background check, be fingerprinted and in the case of agency and department heads, submit their tax returns every year. How is it that during the recent elections, ordinary wooden-headed Republican candidates were going begging for money from would-be campaign donors, and this guy shows up on the North Shore of Long Island claiming to have 'loaned' his election campaign $700,000 or $750,000, when the year before he made about as much as an Amazon Prime or UPS package delivery driver. Anyone listening to Santos for less than three minutes would have to conclude that the guy is a complete and utter flake. What kind of dupe lays out that kind of cash to shape-shifting conman with no apparent track record for anything, except having lost a congressional race for the same seat he subsequently won. The losing effort was in 2020; and what did the public record say about Santos' financials during that campaign? Who were his campaign donors in 2020? Did anybody vouch for him back then?
