They should be.

Can I copy and paste and send to Speaker Pelosi? Exactly what should be done. And.. if any of these Republican traitors show their faces at "town halls" I hope that there will be Democrats in the audience to ask repeatedly about this vote - the way the Tea Party freak show used to harass D's back in the old days.

Of course you can!

you have to live in her district in order for her to read your email. Fortunately I do and I just sent this to her

I do too and did the same

Anyone who doesn't live in Speaker Pelosi's district, send it to your own member of Congress.

My congresspeople answer to Charles Koch & gang…total waste of time.

Do it anyway. How long does it take to send an email?

I didn't ever think that the Republicans would ever stoop so low as to these depths, but this has done it. They can all go fuck themselves, and the Democrats should go in for the kill. The GOP is utterly worthless. Anyone who supports them is worthless. Once they gave in to DT, they lost any credibility they had.

The Democrats can change this, and they'd better or else they'll end up on the same side.

Great post-send it to Nancy posthaste. She has to do something!

McCarthy’s head is so far up Trump’s ass he can taste the back of his tongue. Subpoena all of them, but especially Kevin.

Among your best. Nice work. I'd chip in for however many white boards Katie Porter might want for her part in the coming festivities.

Let’s see if, for once, the Dems actually fight back, instead of caving in, giving up, slinking away and letting the GQP win yet again.

At some level, we should be asking ourselves, "Well, what did you expect from a Republican Party that has given up on democracy and constitutional government…" Next week, maybe we will see a different Joe Manchin, although I would not count on it. Manchin begged his Republican colleagues to deliver up ten patriots for a procedural vote to move the bill forward, this after Democrats had acceded to amendments to the original bill that Republicans said they needed in order to move it forward. Six Republican senators, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Rob Portman of Ohio, Mitt Romney of Utah, and Ben Sasse of Nebraska, voted to move the bill forward. The seventh Republican, Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, missed the vote, but said he would have voted to move the bill forward. Senator Toomey was one of 11 senators who missed the vote. My response would have to be, who is this guy trying to kid, as well as all of those others who did not want to go on record either for or against the investigation.

From now until election day in 2022, Democrats have to be pounding away on the cowardice and arguably treasonous behavior of those Republicans who refused to step up and do their job. The Republicans went nuts over Benghazi; and here we have them coddling insurgents if for no other reason than the curry favor with the former president. How good does that look.

Another senator who missed the vote was Kyrsten Fooking Sinema (D?-AZ).

And when Pelosi puts the target on the backs of the GOP seditionist insurrectionists and subpoenas them to testify under oath, she should back up that power with action when they refuse to obey the subpoenas...which we know they will.

Expand full comment

Once the subpoenas issue, the Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, can direct the Sargeant at Arms to arrest the recalcitrant witness. Whether the Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer, has the power to do likewise is conceivably possible. I would hope so. The spectacle of senators and Representatives arrested, handcuffed, and frog-marched onto a House hearing, all in front of lights and cameras, should prove interesting, to say the least. Let the Republicans scream about tyranny; we want their testimony, even if we have to pry it out of them. Make Republicans defend themselves when confronted with the evidence of their treason. Break them by confronting them dwith the consequences of their treachery and lies.

On target. Time to resist before even that is illegal. Never lose sight of the fact that there really are more of us then them. They will cause much havoc, but we will prevail if we stick together.

I *really* want these people to explain to me in small words why Democratic voters should keep spending effort putting them in power if they refuse to do anything with it once they have it.

But no, they'll just keep pissing away their time, letting the Republican's baffle them with bullshit.

Whatever. It's not like investigating treason is urgent, or anything.

Trump toads are now in place and there are all these armed people around America ready to play out this "rebellion fantasy" --this nation is so used to using violence, I am afraid for our lives. The GOP has become a party of killers, both literal and symbolic

We're a helluva long way from the country club GOP I'm familiar with. This group would be more at home in junk yard or a land fill made of trash.
