Airman First Class Jack Teixeira, 21, was charged today on two counts of violating federal espionage laws: one count under 18 US Code 793, for unauthorized gathering, transmitting, or losing national defense information, and one count for violating 18 US Code 1924, unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents or material.
So when does trump get arrested? Just possessing those documents in an unsecured location would have gotten me fired from my old job and under arrest by the FBI. I’m so tired of waiting while a schlump like trump getting to skate while others get arrested and jailed for doing what he did.
This foolish kid might have unwittingly set the stage for Trump to be charged. We have a better understanding than before. Trump should not be given special treatment.

If this follows the pattern of the January 6 investigation, and the people who have already been found guilty and tossed in jail, Teixeira will be brought to justice swiftly. And our former president? I’m really hoping that Smith finally gets it done. Bragg is setting the gold standard for dealing with this man.
Of course Mr. T. would be the first journalist in my orbit to tie that kid's crime to Trump's. And it is rather obvious that they're figuring out the kid's bail (My bet is 2 mil) while Lardass is roaming around from deposition to deposition. However, I like to think they're going to end up in the same place - but the kid won't have a bodyguard, courtesy of the United States government. I have long thought, should Trump actually be sent to the slammer, that he would take Jeffrey Epstein's way out. Granted, he's a coward, but his ego could not tolerate the indignity of bars knowing that there were people who had pinned their hopes on just that.
Call me cynical, but I am convinced that the word came down from on-high (i.e. Rupert) that the Massachusetts incel was to be referred to as a leaker precisely because he did the exact same thing Trump did. There is no question that this 21-year-old kid is going to get indicted and convicted quickly in a military trial. Whether this, in a sense convenient, parallel episode to *Rump’s similar offenses will accelerate the case against him or merely underscore the double standard our so-called justice system operates under remains to be seen.
