I think that the jurors will be as angry as we all are because they're the ones watching the videos and Chauvin's attitude during the trial, and in rendering the verdict of guilty, will be saying in so many words that things have to change, now. No wonder the city settled out of court with the Floyd family because the evidence is just too strong and the witnesses too credible to not find him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Chauvin is a murderer, and that's the truth.

I hope so...but I’m still pissed that OJ Simpson walked after butchering his wife.

Tough choice for the Chauvin jury:

Piss off the Trump Racist KKK crowd, or, incite a BLM long hot summer.

Sure glad we have a leader in the White House to navigate these rocky shoals.

One result of the 1st Amendment Auditors on You Tube is the information regarding police salaries combined with overtime, rather lucrative career choice these days.

Last paragraph says it all: there are police officers who ENJOY torturing and killing people of color. They know they can get away with it 90 percent of the time. The intensity of the hatred abs fear many policemen harbor toward minorities is a pathology that should be examined by psychologists. How many men join police forces BECAUSE it gives them the chance to humiliate, abuse and even kill people of color with impunity?

I hate it when police officers die in the line of duty, and I hate listening to police officers who are burnt out and right wing—vice versa with Black Lives Matter. Extremism on either side masks reality and squelches problem-solving; it also shifts personal responsibility toward a self-righteous indignation Mob mentality. I’m ready to secede the the southern frontier to the “Libertarian” wing nuts; export them and then build a border wall . . . And if you can’t take responsibility for your behavior—then you can go live with the Nation of Republican Cannibals.

Maybe I need a nap...

Too much polarization on both sides. In George Floyd’s case, from a medical point of view, an overweight man in his 50s with hypertension and who has meth in his system, is a set up for a heart attack, whether there was a police encounter or not. I don’t see how they can prove cause-effect beyond a reasonable doubt in his death. It’s a terrible shame because he was badly, physically abused by this cop—and as someone with 3 fused cervical vertebrae, I am especially sickened and appalled by the cop’s “malpractice” in applying that hold.

Well! The ER doc and the police chief have cleared the way to convicting the cop. It’s become a test of the “peers” on the jury. It will be interesting to compare Minnesota with LA, California: Let’s not forget how OJ Simpson was judged after butchering his wife...I had friends who worked in LA’s court house, and they knew he’d get off in a jury trial of “peers.” These are Very cynical times .
