We are leaving this wonderful studio living/work space in Springs and moving to a house in Milford, Pennsylvania, a small town on the Delaware River. It’s a big change for us. We have lived in what amounts to a 600 square foot studio with soaring ceilings and gigantic windows, and we are moving to a turn-of-the century three story house with room for Tracy to paint and for me to write and actual bedrooms and more than one bath!
We are both rather addled at the prospect of change and the thrill of the chase to a new home and a new life, as it were. We spent the day doing an inventory for the movers and discovered that though we have very little furniture, we have lots of the stuff of both of our lives. As a writer and a painter, we can do our work anywhere, and come the first week of April, we’ll be doing it in the Delaware River Valley in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains.
We are very excited. Wish us luck, and please keep those subscriptions coming. Moving is not going to be cheap, and we need your support.
Good luck‼️
We are moving too. Our home got listed yesterday, and our real estate agent is taking the first potential buyer on a tour. I’m sitting in my truck in the parking lot of our neighborhood grocery store, waiting to be able to go back to the house.
“ Moving is not going to be cheap, ”
Holy cow, you are not kidding. I’ve never seen money disappear so quickly from my bank account. Cleaners, construction and repair people to make the house look nice, and on and on.
This is such a warm, comforting photo of a room filled with life and activity and love. The dog’s toys under the furniture, the shoes lined up carefully, the house plants with remembrances of bloom. May you continue this beauty in your new space. I know you will.
