Happy Trails to the both of you! Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to tell us that you are now on the move. I know you’re not Jewish, but there’s a sweet tradition that when one moves, they are given a loaf of bread, a little honey, and candles. The bread is what ties you together; the honey is the sweetness life will bring you, and the candles are to help guide you along the way for warmth and serenity. At least, that’s what I was taught.

Hello Lucian... The Kingston Trio will be performing in Bethlehem, PA soon and possibly one more PA venue... Would love to see you there as I have never met one of my FB friends in person. LOL. I promise the show is really good. If you think you can make the Bethlehem show, I'll have a hotel room there for you both so you wouldn't need to do an RT in one day ... Just sayin'...

Let me know when the Bethlehem gig is. We'll try to make it.

First concert I ever attended was the Kingston Trio and Brazil 66 and Astrud Gilberto in D.C. when I was in High School. Bobbi Childress who was Bob Shane's wife of 20 years and lives her in Phoenix is good friend. I still enjoy listening to the music. They are one of the reasons I became a banjo player.

John: I knew Bob since I was a kid, really. Have become friends with Bobbie over the last few years. Let me know if we're ever near you.

You should get a gig at the Musical Instrument Museum in Scottsdale. 350 seats or so, awesome place to play and listen. I saw Jerry Douglas there a while back. Fox Theater in Tucson is also great venue, I recently saw Bela Fleck there. He was with Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer and Bryan Sutton.

Hello John... We are working on our tour for next January. Thx for the heads up. I'm going to relay your info to our agents today...at 1PM.

Both venues are supported by a little older crowd who follow acoustic music and go to smaller venue shows. Either one would be perfect for you. And Tucson and Phoenix / Scottsdale are heavy retirement and winter snowbird communities for Boomers. Fox in Tucson is bigger.

Bobbi and I go to the same gym and workout together 3 mornings a week with a group of other friends. It's kind of an old folk's thing. :)

My wife loves the Kingston Trio. She uses one of their songs for the ringtone when her sister calls. Apparently they share childhood family memories of that group’s music.

Nice. This music has been personal and inspiring and a great compassion over the years. Getting to actually be in the Kingston Trio for the last five years has been a great honor for me.

Hi Mike. I copied our text exchange and sent it to my wife. We’re moving too, she’s out-of-state getting us established and I’m holding down the fort in California until the house sells. I can echo what Lucian says. Crazy. Insane amount of work. *Expensive*

Where are you moving to?

She texted back, “ I’d see them in concert 🥰 “

Good luck! I moved myself just a year ago and yeah, it was very expensive. You’re moving farther; I had a lot more “stuff” to move. I’m happy to be a subscriber and look forward to posts from your new home!

Best of luck! When we moved interstate last year, we had over 430 boxes plus the furniture and unboxed items. It took months to unpack, and when we would open a new box and see what was inside (not often predictable), we would exclaim, "It's like Christmas in Hell!"

I moved to Manhattan last year and I love it here, and at 77, i hope it is the last time I ever move. Lucien I’ve been to Milford, PA many times and I predict you and your lovely wife will be very happy there.

Godspeed, intrepid ones. John and I are hoping to move from Ashland, Oregon, back to my home turf in Virginia in the coming year. May the Great State of Pennsylvania be a soft and welcoming place to land for the two of you, and for goodness sakes let there be good light there—always inspirational.

Done that moving thing too. We moved about every 30 months. I didn't attend the same school in consequtive years until high school. When someone asks me where I am from my response is, "Which year?" That response got an instant look of recognition from a young woman with whom I was making small talk at the airport one day. Her father was still in the army completing, I think, his 26th year. She said, "I am gonna use that."

Safe travels to you both.👍🏻
